My Story
Growing up with anaphylaxis and being diagnosed with a nut allergy at just four years old shaped much of my childhood and beyond. I avoided nuts entirely, navigating school lunches and social occasions with care. But it wasn’t until I became a mother that I uncovered a wealth of information that transformed my understanding of allergies, nutrition, and anxiety surrounding food.
Through testing and research, I discovered my allergy was specific to cashews and pistachios. This revelation not only opened up a world of new nutritional options for me, but it also reshaped how I approached food and allergies for my daughter.
As a designer by trade, I wanted to bring beauty and functionality to a product that parents could trust. Our weaning kits are built to help parents safely introduce nuts and seeds while managing cross-contamination risks in households where allergies exist. With zero waste and cost-effectiveness in mind, I set out to bust myths, build confidence, and create something meaningful for parents navigating this sometimes overwhelming stage.
What Inspired This Journey
Talking to parents revealed a common thread: fear. From conflicting advice to alarming stories in the media, many parents felt paralyzed when it came to introducing nuts to their babies. Realising that no comprehensive product existed to simplify this process, I reverse-engineered my vision, breaking it into actionable steps to make it a reality.
Our kits are designed with NHS guidelines in mind, and packaged to include everything parents need: a pop-up guide with tips, signs, symptoms to watch for, and a visual checklist to ensure you’re confident every step of the way.

Our ultimate goal is to become a B Corp and achieve net-zero status while keeping our manufacturing proudly within the U.K.
