What is Baby, are you nuts? and who are their products designed for..?
We are a food company that produces allergen weaning products to help simplify the processes of allergen weaning for parents and babies. We are not a medical product, however in designing and producing the products, we have worked to follow the NHS guidelines surrounding allergen introduction
"Baby, are you nuts?" has been created by a mum Natasha Amoretti who has a severe nut (cashew nut) allergy. In Natasha's own words; growing up with an anaphylaxis allergy was incredibly challenging and at times upsetting and isolating as a child and teenager. Once becoming a new mother, I was navigating allergens from a whole new perspective. Introducing allergens to my little one was nerve-racking, confusing, and costly. So I set out to create a product that was organic, simple to use, supportive, cost-effective and delivered easily to your door. After almost two years in development Baby, are you nuts? products are finally here.
The process:
All of our products are manufactured in the UK with our partner factory Sun & Seed Ltd. They source for us the highest quality raw organic ingredients, they then press and defat the raw ingredients, before finely milling them into a powder that can easily be mixed into food, food purees, or a smoothie.
This factory has designated areas for the individual nuts and seeds, and the machines are thoroughly cleaned and tested between production and packing of each different powder to eliminate chances of cross-contamination. They also cross test the powders produced at the beginning, middle and end batches of the production line. However, this is a factory that handles a variety of different nuts and seeds; we cannot guarantee that there will be no trace elements of other nuts and seeds.
These same principles of producing a high-quality, plant-friendly product apply to all our packaging. Yes, something this beautiful is also all recyclable, from the postal wrap and box to the individual serving sticks and stand-up pouches. Again, these are all produced in the UK within a small radius from our nut and seed manufacturer, as we actively try to keep our carbon footprint small.
